Lead Material and Corrosion Engineering activities for offshore and onshore oil & gas projects. Develop and implement material selection philosophies and corrosion management strategies. Review and approve material selection for process equipment, piping systems, valves, structures, subsea systems, and pressure-containing equipment. Perform corrosion assessments for: Internal Corrosion External Corrosion Galvanic Corrosion MIC (Microbiologically Influenced Corrosion) CO? Corrosion H?S Corrosion Erosion Corrosion High Temperature Corrosion Develop and review: Material Selection Reports Corrosion Control Philosophy Corrosion Monitoring Philosophy Corrosion Management Plans Material Requisitions Technical Specifications Material Datasheets Evaluate suitability of Carbon Steel, Stainless Steel, Duplex, Super Duplex, Nickel Alloys, Titanium, and CRA materials. Perform corrosion risk assessments and recommend mitigation measures.
Review corrosion prediction studies and corrosion modelling reports. Lead cathodic protection and coating system engineering activities. Support selection of corrosion-resistant materials and protective systems. Review painting, coating, insulation, and passive fire protection specifications. Conduct Failure Analysis and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) relating to material degradation and corrosion issues. Ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and client requirements. Support procurement activities including technical bid evaluations and vendor document reviews. Provide technical support during fabrication, construction, commissioning, and operational phases. Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance on materials and corrosion matters.
