About Antropi Robotics
Antropi Robotics is a Y Combinator-backed robotics startup (YC F26) building autonomous manufacturing systems for CNC factories. We combine industrial robotics, computer vision, CNC automation, and AI-powered factory software to make manufacturing more autonomous.
We are looking for a hands-on Mechanical Engineering Intern who enjoys turning ideas into working hardware. You will design robotic mechanisms and machine components, build prototypes, create manufacturing-ready designs, and test your work on real factory-floor systems.
What You’ll Do
• Mechanical Design: Design components, assemblies, fixtures, and mechanisms for robotic systems and CNC automation.
• CAD & Engineering Drawings: Create detailed 3D CAD models, manufacturing drawings, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
• Prototyping & Testing: Build, assemble, test, and troubleshoot mechanical systems on real hardware.
• System Integration:
Collaborate with electronics and software engineers to integrate complete robotic systems.
• Design Optimization: Improve designs for manufacturability, reliability, structural integrity, and ease of assembly.
• Factory-Floor Execution: Iterate on designs based on real-world testing, manufacturing constraints, and system performance.
What We’re Looking For
• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, or a related field, with expected graduation in 2027.
• Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks or Fusion 360.
• Strong understanding of machine design, mechanisms, and engineering fundamentals.
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes such as CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication, and 3D printing.
• Ability to prototype, troubleshoot, and iterate quickly, moving from CAD models to functional hardware.
• A practical, hands-on approach to solving engineering
