Job Description The Mid-Level QA Engineer will execute structured and exploratory testing activities for applications within The Energy Authority's portfolio. The individual will work under the guidance of the QA Lead Engineer and Senior QA Engineers to analyze requirements, prepare test cases and test data, execute tests, document defects, maintain regression coverage, and contribute to automated testing. The position requires a tester who is detail-oriented and analytical, with the ability to understand expected system behavior and investigate unexpected results rather than only following a script. The Mid-Level QA Engineer will support functional, integration, regression, API, database, and automation activities across modern and legacy applications.
pay ranges from $8-10.74/hr based on YOE. Skills and Requirements 3 to 5 years of software testing or Quality Assurance experience
- Experience executing functional, regression, integration, and exploratory tests
- Ability to understand user stories, requirements, acceptance criteria, and expected application behavior
- Experience writing clear test cases, test steps, expected results, and test evidence
- Experience documenting and retesting defects
- Basic to intermediate Selenium automation experience
- Basic working knowledge of C# or another object-oriented programming language used for test automation
- Experience testing web applications and REST APIs
- Basic SQL skills for test-data setup and result validation
- Understanding of defect lifecycle, severity, priority, and regression impact
- Familiarity with Agile or Kanban delivery




- Strong attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills
- Clear written and verbal communication
- Ability to work from India during hours overlapping U.S. Eastern or Western business hours
- Exposure to Playwright
- Azure DevOps experience
- Experience with Angular or .NET applications
- Experience with MongoDB, Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, or another NoSQL data store
- Experience testing cloud-hosted or containerized applications
- Experience with desktop applications such as WinForms or DevExpress
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated regression execution
- Experience supporting multiple applications or concurrent release cycles
