Since 1978, Harley Instruments has been the exclusive Indian representative for manufacturers of high-end scientific and electro-mechanical equipment from the USA, UK and Germany. We install, support and service it all, for clients across research institutes, laboratories and Defense Institutions.

We're looking for an experienced Sales Manager to lead our sales function and grow our business in thin-film deposition systems, high-vacuum systems, scientific instruments and metal additive manufacturing.

This is a leadership role. You will:
- Set sales strategy, targets and territory plans
- Lead and coordinate the sales engineers and review the pipeline
- Generate leads and build the CRM
- Research the market, competitors and emerging opportunities
- Oversee e-tenders and government capital-equipment procurement
- Work with marketing on campaigns and promotional material
- Be the main point of contact for our foreign principals and key customers
- Report on forecasts, pipeline and performance





What we're looking for:
- 10+ years in technical sales, with experience managing a sales team
- A track record of closing ₹10+ crore in business every year for at least the past 5 years
- B.Tech/M.Tech (Mechanical, Materials, E&TC;, Instrumentation) or M.Sc. (Physics, Electronics, Materials Science). An MBA is a plus
- Understanding of capital-equipment purchasing, government procurement and e-tendering
- Experience in scientific instruments, high-vacuum systems or metal additive manufacturing is a plus
- Crisp, explicit communication in English and Hindi (a regional language is a plus)
- Willingness to travel across the assigned territory
