Job Summary

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Senior Officer - Engineering Purchase & Stores to join our Maintenance team in Chakan, Pune. In this role, you will be responsible for engineering procurement, vendor management, inventory optimization, and stores operations while ensuring uninterrupted support to manufacturing and maintenance activities. You will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to drive cost efficiency, inventory accuracy, compliance, and operational excellence.

What You Will Do

As a Senior Officer - Engineering Purchase & Stores, you will:





Engineering Procurement & Sourcing

• Process purchase requisitions and technical orders for engineering items, consumables, spare parts, and capital equipment requirements.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Production teams to define technical specifications and material requirements.
• Coordinate supplier quotations and conduct techno-commercial evaluations in partnership with Supplier Management (SUM) and local stakeholders.
• Negotiate delivery schedules and commercial terms to optimize cost, quality, and service.
• Track open purchase orders and proactively expedite deliveries to support production and project timelines.

Vendor Development & Management

• Identify localization opportunities and develop reliable supplier networks for engineering materials and services.
• Maintain and continuously improve the approved vendor database and performance feedback system.
