Role Description
The Cybersecurity Researcher – Unpaid role is a full-time remote position focused on investigating emerging cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and attack patterns. Responsibilities include conducting technical research in areas such as malware behavior, exploit techniques, and application security flaws, and documenting findings in transparent reports and internal knowledge bases.



The role involves reverse-engineering suspicious binaries or scripts, analyzing security incidents, and contributing to detection methodologies and preventive controls aligned with HackHalt’s four-pillar strategy. The researcher will collaborate with other team members and global partners on research projects, support the development of educational materials, and participate in internal briefings and workshops to share insights and improve collective defenses.

Qualifications
• Strong foundational knowledge in Cybersecurity and Security Research, with demonstrated ability to investigate real-world threats and vulnerabilities.
• Hands-on skills in Malware Analysis and Reverse Engineering for binaries, scripts, and other malicious artifacts.
• Experience or coursework in Application Security, including secure coding principles, vulnerability assessment, and mitigation strategies.
• Familiarity with common operating systems (Window
