Purpose

Responsible for design and development of tyres and independent handling of OEM development projects from RFQ evaluation to product validation and approval.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

• Handle OEM development projects from RFQ to final product approval.
• Review RFQs covering tyre size, application, load, speed, fitment, performance and customer requirements.
• Design/develop tyres including construction, dimensions, pattern/cavity inputs, materials and weight targets.
• Prepare/review product drawings and coordinate OEM drawing approval.
• Participate in design reviews and DFMEA.
• Coordinate prototype development, testing and product validation.
• Analyse test/field performance and recommend design improvements/corrective actions.
• Manage OEM sample submission, technical discussions, trials and approvals.
• Conduct benchmarking and value engineering for cost, weight and performance optimization.
• Coordinate with Manufacturing, Quality, Testing, Materials and Marketing for timely project completion.

Qualification




B.E./B.Tech – Mechanical / Automobile / Rubber / Polymer Technology or equivalent

• Strong knowledge of tyre design, construction and development process.
• Good understanding of product drawings, tyre testing and validation.
• Knowledge of OEM development process, RFQ, DFMEA and APQP/PPAP.
• Exposure to FEA/CAE preferred.

• Good written and verbal communication skills, with ability to interact with OEM
• customers.
• Strong project ownership, planning and cross-functional coordination.
