The role

We need HR Leader who acts as a business partner, not an administrator. You will own the people agenda end to end, and your first priority is closing our critical hires on time.

You will understand the business before the brief arrives. You will push back when it's needed and bring solutions rather than problems. You will be measured on outcomes, not activity.

What you'll own

Talent acquisition
• Own hiring for all critical and leadership roles, from workforce plan to offer accepted.
• Build a sourcing engine across India, the US and international markets, including academic and faculty talent.
• Set hiring SLAs with business leaders and hold the function to them.




• Manage search partners and the hiring tech stack, and track cost and quality of hire.

HR business partnering
• Sit with the leadership team on org design, capacity planning and budgets.
• Turn business goals into a quarterly people plan with clear owners and dates.
• Coach managers on hiring, performance and difficult conversations.

Performance, culture and retention
• Run a simple, outcome-based performance and goal-setting system.
• Build compensation, rewards and career frameworks that fit a fast-scaling startup.
• Drive engagement and retention of high performers. Act early on attrition risk.

HR operations and compliance
• Own policies, onboarding, payroll coordination and HR data across India and US entities.
• Ensure labour-law and statutory compliance, including requirements tied to accredited higher education.
• Lead and grow a lean HR team.
