The India Legal Research Foundation (ILRF) is looking for a Research Associate with a strong background in public policy and research to help build a substantive body of institutional research and position ILRF as a serious policy research organisation.
Location:Noida, Sector 68
Experience: 2+ years of relevant experience
Compensation:₹3.5–5 LPA, depending on quality of work and fit, plus performance-linked variable based on KPIs achieved.
Mandatory requirements:
- Education and professional experience in public policy, policy research, social sciences or a closely related field
- Minimum 3 externally published research outputs
- Demonstrated experience in independent policy research and writing
- Solid analytical, writing and editorial skills
Key responsibilities:
- Identify research opportunities and topics aligned with ILRF's research pillars.
- Develop policy briefs, research papers, policy submissions, op-eds, blogs and other research outputs.
- Identify and pursue external platforms and stakeholder opportunities for ILRF's research.
- Prepare submissions and representations to relevant institutions, consultations and policymakers.
- Review and edit manuscripts submitted for ILRF's journals and books, ensuring quality of research, analysis, structure, citations and sources.
- Contribute to building a consistent and high-quality body of research for ILRF.
The ideal candidate should be able to take a research idea from identification → research → drafting → publication → dissemination and should be genuinely interested in building a career in public policy research and think-tank work.
