Role Description The Junior Research Fellow (JRF) will support ongoing research activities within the institute, working closely with faculty members and research teams on sponsored and departmental projects. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting literature reviews, designing and executing experiments or simulations, collecting and analyzing data, and assisting in the preparation of research reports, publications, and presentations. The JRF will also help in maintaining project documentation, coordinating with laboratories or industry partners when required, and contributing to project proposals and progress reports. This is a full-time, on-site role based at Dibrugarh University Institute of Engineering & Technology in Dibrugarh West, requiring regular presence on campus for team-oriented work, meetings, and laboratory activities.
Qualifications

• Robust foundation in an engineering discipline such as Computer Science & Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Petroleum Engineering.
• Demonstrated research aptitude,



including ability to conduct literature surveys, formulate research problems, and apply appropriate methodologies.
• Basic proficiency in data analysis tools or software relevant to the candidate’s engineering specialization (e.g., programming languages, simulation tools, or statistical software)
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary research environment, manage time efficiently, and meet project deadlines.
• Master’s degree or a strong bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering field from a recognized institution; NET/GATE qualification or equivalent is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with laboratory practices, safety procedures, and documentation standards will be considered an advantage.
• Interest in pursuing academic or industrial research as a career path and willingness to engage in continuous learning and skill development.
