Your Impact

As a Full Stack Software Engineer (Technical Leader), you will collaborate with firmware, backend, SRE, and dashboard engineers to architect, design, and build large-scale systems, enabling connections between over a million network devices and our products. With our large footprint, quality is our highest priority. In partnership with product managers and firmware engineers, you will construct intuitive yet powerful systems that will be used by customers via the Meraki Dashboard.

In this role, you will:

- Design and develop scalable software systems and enhance backend features.
- Collaborate with engineers from backend, SRE, dashboard, and support teams to ensure seamless integration, maintain system reliability, enhance user interfaces, and provide comprehensive support for end-users.




- Identify and address performance issues across the system.
- Follow established coding standards and contribute insights to improve team knowledge and best practices.
- Guide the junior engineers in developing the system, and mentor the junior in their career.

Minimum Qualifications

- 11+ years of experience writing production code and tests for medium to large-scale systems.
- 11+ years of experience in full stack technologies, such as Ruby on Rails, Python, Java, ReactJS, and JavaScript.
- Demonstrated ability to design effective databases and optimize query performance in a relational database like Postgres.
- Demonstrated ownership of tasks throughout the development process, from conception to implementation, by collaborating effectively with peers and cross-functional teams.
- A keen interest in understanding user needs and contributing to product development.
- Strong communication skills to articulate ideas clearly and work effectively within a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience building cloud-based infrastructure and services (e.g., web applications).
- Experience or interest in security or networking.
- Experience with container solutions (e.g., Kubernetes).
