Role Description

The Data Scientist designs, implements and manages enterprise AI and data science frameworks at Apollo, enabling advanced analytics, machine learning models and predictive insights across non-clinical domains such as finance, marketing and operations. The role drives AI-infused business outcomes articulated in the AOP FY27, including retention AI, medical tourism engine, SGE optimisation, revenue integrity, propensity-to-pay and contact centre copilot.

Detailed Job Responsibility & Accountabilities

- Design, build and deploy machine learning models for finance, marketing and operational use cases.
- Partner with business functions to identify AI opportunities aligned to the AOP FY27 plan and translate them into model specifications.
- Lead retention AI models analysing EMR data to identify drop-out risk for chronic disease patients.
- Build propensity-to-pay models, lead-funnel optimisation models and high-value lost-lead detection.
- Collaborate with data engineers to curate training datasets and productionise feature pipelines.




- Drive model performance engineering — accuracy, precision, recall, calibration, fairness and drift monitoring.
- Productionise models using MLOps practices — CI/CD for models, registry, monitoring and rollback.
- Ensure data integrity, privacy (DPDP) and regulatory compliance in every model lifecycle.
- Publish model documentation, model cards and explainability artifacts.
- Contribute to GenAI and agentic AI use cases as they emerge in the platform roadmap.
- Measure and report business impact of deployed models.

Desired Skills & Competencies

- Must have 5+ years in applied data science and machine learning.
- Must have strong Python skills and proficiency with ML libraries (scikit-learn, XGBoost, LightGBM, PyTorch/TensorFlow).
- Must have experience with feature engineering, model evaluation and MLOps.
- Must have exposure to Azure ML, Databricks ML, MLflow or equivalent platforms.
- Must have solid SQL and data wrangling skills.
- Must have working knowledge of statistical inference, A/B testing and causal analysis.
- Preferred exposure to GenAI, LLMs, RAG, vector databases and agentic frameworks.
- Preferred healthcare, marketing analytics or finance domain exposure.
