Role & responsibilities
SENIOR ACCOUNTANT RTR (Band 5)
Job Purpose
Execute and control end-to-end RTR activities across one or more accounting domains while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely financial reporting in global manufacturing environment spanning multiple legal entities and currencies.
Key Responsibilities
• Prepare, review, and approve journal entries, accruals, provisions, and reconciliations
• Support month-end and year-end close activities; ensure timely completion against SLAs
• Execute product costing, inventory accounting, and COPA processes; review variances and trends
• Perform intercompany accounting, transfer pricing calculations, and cross-entity reconciliations
• Manage fixed asset and lease accounting, including IFRS 16 compliance
• Execute project accounting and budgeting processes
• Prepare management reports, financial schedules, and analytical reports
• Support tax accounting and compliance activities across multiple jurisdictions
• Participate in internal and external audits; ensure documentation and audit readiness
• Support process improvement, system enhancements, and automation initiatives
• Coordinate with business teams, controllers, and external partners on accounting matters
Process/Domain Coverage
General Ledger, Product Costing, Inventory Accounting, COPA, Intercompany Accounting, Fixed Assets, Project Accounting, Budgeting, Tax Accounting, Reporting & Analytics.
SAP / S/4HANA Requirements
Mandatory hands-on experience in SAP ERP and/or SAP S/4HANA with exposure to FI, CO, COPA, Product Costing, Asset Accounting, and Project Systems.
Technical Skills
• Solid proficiency in SAP FI/CO modules and core finance processes
• Working knowledge of COPA, cost accounting,
and profitability analysis
• Competence in balance sheet and bank reconciliations
• Understanding of intercompany transactions and consolidation adjustments
• Ability to prepare accurate financial reports and schedules
• Knowledge of tax compliance and accounting principles (IFRS/Ind-AS)
Experience
6–8 years in Accounting, RTR Operations, Shared Services, GCC, or Finance Operations, with proven ability to manage multiple processes and stakeholder coordination.
Qualifications
B.Com / M.Com / MBA Finance or equivalent.
Behavioural Competencies
