1. AVD Execution API & Excipients
- Execute AVD (Approved Vendor Development) activities for APIs and excipients.
- Coordinate with R&D;, ADL, QA, Regulatory and suppliers for vendor evaluation, documentation and qualification.
- Follow up for samples, technical documents, quotations and approvals to ensure timely vendor onboarding.

- Excipient Sourcing – R&D;

- Source excipients for ANDA, ROW and Domestic market projects based on R&D; requirements.
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers/manufacturers based on quality, regulatory compliance, commercial competitiveness and supply capability.
- Obtain and negotiate quotations, coordinate samples and ensure timely supply for development activities.
- Maintain supplier database and market intelligence for key excipients.

- Pithampur Plant Procurement

- Handle procurement requirements for excipients for the Pithampur manufacturing plant.
- Coordinate with plant, planning, QA and stores teams to ensure timely availability of materials.
- Monitor open orders, delivery schedules, inventory levels and supplier performance.




- Resolve supply-related issues and ensure uninterrupted production support.

- Vendor & Commercial Management

- Develop and maintain relationships with approved suppliers.
- Negotiate prices, payment terms, lead times and other commercial terms.
- Track market trends, price movements and alternate sources to identify cost-saving and supply-risk mitigation opportunities.

Key Skills / Competencies:

- Knowledge of pharmaceutical APIs and excipients procurement.
- Understanding of vendor qualification and pharmaceutical quality/regulatory requirements.
- Good negotiation and supplier management skills.
- Strong coordination with R&D;, QA, Regulatory, Production, Planning and Stores.
- Analytical skills for price comparison, cost evaluation and alternate-source development.
- Positive communication, follow-up and Excel, SAP knowledge required .

Preferred Experience:
4–5 years of experience in pharmaceutical procurement, preferably with exposure to APIs, excipients, R&D; sourcing and vendor development.
