About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Jira Atlassian Administrator / Consultant to own the design, configuration, integration and support of our Atlassian ecosystem. You will turn business requirements into scalable Jira and Jira Service Management solutions, and you will play a key role in connecting Jira with Zoho so that work, status and data stay aligned across teams and systems.
This is a hands-on role for someone who is equally comfortable in a workflow editor, a Groovy script, and a stakeholder workshop.
Key Responsibilities
Jira Atlassian Administration
- Administer Jira Software, Jira Service Management (JSM) and Confluence across Cloud, Data Center or Server environments.
- Design and maintain complex workflows, including conditions, validators, triggers and post-functions.
- Configure custom fields, screens, issue types, field configurations, permission schemes, notification schemes and project roles.
- Manage users, groups, projects, plugins and add-ons, and keep the environment healthy, secure and well documented.
- Provide production support, troubleshooting, performance monitoring, re-indexing and backup validation.
Jira-Zoho Integration (Key Focus)
- Gather and document integration requirements between Jira and Zoho (for example Zoho Projects, CRM, Desk or other Zoho applications).
- Define and maintain field mapping, status mapping and workflow mapping between Jira and Zoho.
- Support task and issue synchronization, status updates and data validation between the two platforms.
- Plan and execute integration testing and UAT; troubleshoot sync failures, mapping errors and workflow-related issues.
- Make the Jira-side configuration changes needed to support the integrated process.
- Work with technical teams, Zoho administrators and business stakeholders during validation, go-live and production support.




- Document integration design, mappings, known issues and support runbooks.
Jira Service Management SLAs
- Configure JSM projects, request types, queues, customer portals, SLAs and automation rules.
- Support SLA-driven application and production support processes.
Automation Scripting
- Build automation using Jira Automation and ScriptRunner (Groovy), including workflow post-functions, listeners and scripted integrations.
- Reduce manual effort by streamlining recurring processes and approvals.
Reporting Time Tracking
- Build advanced JQL filters, dashboards, gadgets and KPI / operational reports.
- Configure Jira time tracking and Tempo Timesheets, and support time-based project reporting.
Migration, Upgrades Agile Enablement
- Support or lead Jira and Confluence migrations (Server/Data Center to Atlassian Cloud) and version upgrades, including post-migration validation.
- Support Agile/Scrum/Kanban teams with boards, sprint planning, backlog management and process optimization.
- Deliver end-user training, knowledge-transfer sessions, SOPs and administration guides.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of hands-on experience administering Jira Software, Jira Service Management and Confluence.
- Proven experience with Jira-Zoho integration, including field mapping, workflow and status mapping, data synchronization, testing and troubleshooting.
- Solid experience designing complex Jira workflows and configuring schemes (permission, notification, screen, field configuration).
- Experience with JSM: SLAs, queues, request types, portals and automation.
- Proficiency with JQL, dashboards and Agile reporting.




- Hands-on experience with Jira Automation, ScriptRunner and Groovy scripting.
- Experience with at least one Jira/Confluence migration or major upgrade.
- Ability to gather requirements from stakeholders and translate them into clear, scalable Jira solutions.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Tempo Timesheets, Xray, Insight / Assets or JMWE.
- Experience migrating large Jira estates to Atlassian Cloud (hundreds of projects).
- Integration experience with tools such as ServiceNow, Jenkins, GitHub, Bitbucket, Bamboo, Slack, Microsoft Teams, Active Directory / LDAP or SailPoint.
- Familiarity with Atlassian Rovo and AI-assisted knowledge discovery.
- Knowledge of ITSM, SDLC and STLC practices.
- Experience leading or mentoring a small technical team.
- Atlassian certifications (ACP-100 / ACP-120 or similar).
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
