Job Summary

Spark Techwave InnovationZ Pvt Ltd is looking for an Analytics Engineer to transform raw data into reliable, well-structured, and analytics-ready datasets for business intelligence and decision-making.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience with SQL, data modeling, data transformation, data warehouses, dbt, and BI tools. The candidate will work closely with Data Engineers, Data Analysts, BI Developers, and business stakeholders to build scalable and trusted analytical data models.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop analytics-ready data models for reporting and business analysis.
- Write complex and optimized SQL queries for data transformation and analysis.
- Build and maintain data transformation pipelines using dbt or similar tools.
- Develop staging, intermediate, and dimensional data models.
- Implement fact and dimension tables using Star Schema and Snowflake Schema concepts.
- Transform raw data into clean, standardized, and reusable datasets.
- Build and maintain data marts for different business functions.
- Implement data-quality checks, validation rules, and testing.
- Create and maintain documentation for data models, metrics, and business definitions.
- Work with Data Engineers to ensure reliable data pipelines and source data availability.
- Collaborate with Data Analysts and BI teams to understand reporting and analytical requirements.
- Support development of dashboards and reports using Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar tools.




- Optimize SQL queries and data models for performance and scalability.
- Monitor data freshness, completeness, accuracy, and consistency.
- Identify and resolve data-quality and transformation issues.
- Establish reusable business metrics and definitions across reporting environments.
- Participate in data governance, metadata, and data lineage initiatives.
- Maintain version-controlled analytics code using Git.
- Follow best practices for data modeling, testing, documentation, and deployment.

Required Skills

- Strong hands-on experience with SQL.
- Strong understanding of relational databases and data warehousing.
- Experience with data modeling and dimensional modeling.
- Hands-on experience with dbt or similar data transformation frameworks.
- Knowledge of ETL/ELT concepts.
- Experience building analytical datasets and data marts.
- Understanding of fact tables, dimension tables, Star Schema, and Snowflake Schema.
- Experience with data-quality checks and testing.
- Knowledge of BI and visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
- Experience with Git/version control.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good understanding of business metrics and KPI definitions.

Good to Have

- Experience with cloud data warehouses such as:

- Snowflake
- Google BigQuery
- Amazon Redshift
- Azure Synapse





- Python knowledge.
- Apache Airflow.
- Databricks.
- Spark / PySpark.
- Fivetran / Airbyte.
- Excellent Expectations or similar data-quality tools.
- CI/CD for analytics workflows.
- Experience with data governance and data lineage.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience working with large-scale datasets.

Education

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Statistics, Engineering, Business Analytics, or a related field.

Preferred Candidate Profile

- 2–6 years of experience in Analytics Engineering, Data Analytics, BI, Data Engineering, or Data Warehousing.
- Strong SQL and data-modeling capabilities.
- Practical experience developing analytics-ready datasets.
- Good understanding of modern data warehouse architecture.
- Ability to translate business requirements into reliable analytical data models.
- Strong attention to data quality and accuracy.
- Good communication and stakeholder-management skills.
