- Follows all accreditation guidelines, ISO 15189, NABL 112, CAP and policies and procedures as indicated in the Ampath quality documents.

- Perform Frozen Section Grossing, Embedding, Cutting, Slide Staining, all special staining and pH monitoring.

- Operation and maintenance of all Histopathology Instruments like Cryostat, Autostainer, Microtome, and Automated tissue processor.

- Performs internal quality control procedures as per SOPs and monitor the daily internal Quality control and record the deviations if any.

- Prepare specimens and Segregation Specimens.

- Perform the analysis of all types of biological specimen like body fluids, tissue, urine, using automated analyzers or manual methods as per lab SOPs.

- Consults with a Pathologist to determine a final diagnosis for all abnormal observations.

- Maintain clean medical laboratory equipment.

- Performs all Histopathology, Cytology and investigations, as per in-house SOPs and working instructions.

- Records laboratory results into the online Lab Information System (LIS)



and maintain all relevant documentary entries like logbooks and work sheets.

- Contributes in preparation of SOPs and work instructions.

- Performs preventive maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment as per the defined program in the laboratory.

- Contributes to an atmosphere of teamwork in the laboratory.

- Implements a secure laboratory environment in compliance with good practices and applicable regulations.

- Performs all other job related activities assigned by Supervisor/ Department Consultant / Lab Director.

- Maintains strict confidentiality related to medical records and other patient / clinical data.

- Reagents/chemical preparation and Maintain related Documents.

- Maintenance of Tissue Embedder and Auto stainer.
