Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Developer with expertise in Mainframe technologies, specifically Cobol, DB2, JCL, MQ, and CICS. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in software development, focusing on delivering high-quality solutions that meet our clients' needs. As a Delivery Module Lead, you will be responsible for leading development efforts, ensuring adherence to best practices, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives.

Responsibilities:

- Design, develop, and maintain applications using Cobol, DB2, JCL, MQ, and CICS.
- Lead the development team in implementing software solutions that align with business requirements.
- Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Ensure the quality of deliverables through rigorous testing and validation processes.
- Monitor and optimize application performance, troubleshooting issues as they arise.
- Document technical specifications, processes, and procedures for future reference.




- Stay updated with industry trends and best practices to enhance development processes.

Mandatory Skills:

- Proficiency in DB2 is a deal breaker for this role.
- Solid experience in Cobol programming.
- Hands-on experience with JCL for job control and execution.
- Familiarity with MQ for messaging and integration.
- Experience with CICS for transaction processing.

Preferred Skills:

- Knowledge of Agile methodologies and practices.
- Experience with performance tuning and optimization of mainframe applications.
- Familiarity with version control systems, such as Git.
- Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications in mainframe technologies are a plus.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Proactive attitude towards learning and adapting to recent technologies.
