Qualifications

Mandatory: Bachelor s degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance. Preferred Qualification: CMA (ICMAI / US CMA), CIMA, or M.Com / MBA (Finance).

Key responsibilities

1. Cost Accounting & Inventory Control

1. Establish, maintain, and refine standard operational costs, bill of materials (BOM), and routing processes.
2. Conduct regular variance analyses (Material, Labor, Overhead) and investigate discrepancies between standard and actual costs.
3. Monitor direct and indirect manufacturing overheads, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished goods inventory valuations.
4. Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual inventory reconciliations and write-off reviews.

2. Cost Audits & Compliance

1. Coordinate and manage internal, external, and statutory Cost Audits.
2. Ensure strict adherence to Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) and manufacturing compliance protocols.
3. Maintain complete documentation and audit trails for all cost allocation models and unit costs.

3. Data Analytics & Trend Reporting

Design and implement reporting dashboards tracking operational cost trends, cost per unit, scrap ratios, and plant productivity.
2. Utilize advanced data analytics (Excel, Power BI/Tableau, SQL) to identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiency bottlenecks across production lines.
3. Prepare actionable monthly cost performance reports for executive leadership and plant management.

4. Financial & Operational Support

1. Partner with production, supply chain, and procurement teams to evaluate margins, pricing strategies, and capital expenditure projects (CapEx).
2. Conduct break-even analyses and scenario modeling for current product lines or manufacturing process changes.
