Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Tool Designer with strong hands-on experience in sheet metal tool design, press tools, dies, jigs, fixtures, and manufacturing support. The candidate should be capable of designing tools, improving existing tool designs, coordinating with production/tool room teams, and providing practical, cost-effective, and production-friendly solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop sheet metal tools, press tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures.
- Prepare detailed tool drawings, layouts, BOMs, and technical documentation.
- Work closely with production, quality, maintenance, and tool room teams.
- Improve existing tools for better productivity, accuracy, tool life, and cost reduction.




- Support new product development and modification projects.
- Troubleshoot tool-related issues during production.
- Ensure designs are practical, manufacturable, and suitable for mass production.
- Coordinate with vendors and tool makers wherever required.

Desired Candidate Profile

- 10+ years of experience in tool design.
- Prior experience in the sheet metal industry is mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of press tools, dies, forming, bending, cutting, punching, and fabrication processes.
- Good understanding of materials, tolerances, tool life, and manufacturing feasibility.
- Experience in AutoCAD / SolidWorks / Creo / NX or similar design software.
- Should be able to work independently and take ownership of tool design work.
- Practical shop-floor understanding will be highly preferred.
