Role & responsibilities

The Senior Design Engineer will be responsible for preparing and reviewing LPS and Earthing designs, drawings, calculations, BOQs, technical submissions, and project documentation.

The ideal candidate should have robust electrical fundamentals, good AutoCAD skills, and a genuine interest in learning and applying relevant Indian and International Standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare detailed LPS and Earthing system designs based on project requirements.
- Prepare and modify technical drawings using AutoCAD.
- Study architectural, structural, electrical, and MEP drawings to develop appropriate LPS and Earthing solutions.
- Prepare BOQs, material schedules, technical specifications, and design documents.
- Carry out electrical calculations and technical evaluations related to LPS and Earthing.
- Review project specifications and identify applicable technical requirements.
- Coordinate with Marketing Engineers, Project Managers, Installation Teams, Consultants, and Clients.
- Provide technical support to the Sales & Marketing team during client discussions and project enquiries.
- Participate in technical discussions with Electrical Consultants, MEP Consultants, Contractors, and Project Managers.
- Review site conditions and incorporate practical installation requirements into designs.
- Prepare technical presentations and design explanations whenever required.
- Review completed designs and drawings for accuracy and compliance.
- Maintain proper records of drawings, revisions, calculations, and technical submissions.
- Keep yourself updated with applicable IS / IEC standards and technical developments related to LPS, Earthing, Electrical Safety,



and associated systems.
- Continuously improve design methodologies and contribute to the development of CIKIT's technical knowledge base.

Preferred candidate profile

- Excellent understanding of Electrical Engineering concepts and principles.
- Strong knowledge of electrical drawings and technical documentation.
- Good working knowledge of AutoCAD is essential.
- Ability to understand architectural, structural, electrical, and MEP drawings.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to interpret project specifications and technical requirements.
- Strong interest in learning applicable Indian and International Standards.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.

You should be interested in understanding why a particular design is required, which standard applies, how the system should be designed, and how it can be practically implemented at site rather than simply preparing drawings based on instructions.
