Position: Secondary Research Auditor/QC (Finance)

Location: Kolkata (Salt Lake) Work Model: Hybrid Working Days: 5 Days CTC: Up to 5.5 LPA Experience: 1.52+ Years Joining: Immediate Joiners preferred; Maximum Notice Period 15 Days

Responsibilities:

- Review, audit, and quality-check secondary research outputs related to the Private Equity, Venture Capital, Investment Banking, and Financial Services domains.
- Conduct detailed quality checks on research reports, company/fund profiles, management profiles, portfolio information, and transaction-related research.
- Verify the accuracy, completeness, consistency, and reliability of information collected through secondary research.
- Review research outputs related to Private Equity and Venture Capital funds, portfolio companies, investors, management teams, and transactions.
- Quality-check information related to Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A;), Leveraged Buyouts (LBOs), Management Buyouts (MBOs), fundraising rounds, investments, exits, debt transactions, and other corporate finance activities.
- Identify factual, analytical, formatting, and logical errors in research deliverables and ensure timely corrections.
- Ensure that research outputs adhere to defined quality standards, processes, and turnaround times (TAT).
- Work closely with research teams to provide feedback, resolve discrepancies, and improve the overall quality of deliverables.
- Conduct source validation and cross-verification of critical financial and business information.




- Support process improvement initiatives by identifying recurring quality issues and recommending corrective measures.
- Manage multiple assignments simultaneously while consistently meeting stringent deadlines and quality benchmarks.

Skills Required:

- Candidate must have 1.52+ years of relevant experience in secondary research, research auditing, quality control, financial research, or a related domain.
- Must have hands-on experience in reviewing and quality-checking research outputs.
- Strong technical knowledge of Private Equity, Venture Capital, Debt, Mergers & Acquisitions, Corporate Finance, and financial markets.
- Good understanding of financial terminology, investment transactions, company profiling, fund profiling, and business research.
- Strong analytical and fact-checking/validation skills, with excellent attention to detail.
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to identify inconsistencies, errors, and gaps in research deliverables.
- Ability to work with stringent TATs, quality benchmarks, and productivity targets.
- Robust organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously.
- Candidates should be comfortable working in a quality-focused,



target-driven research environment.

Educational Qualification:

Candidates must have an educational background in Commerce, Economics, Finance, or Accounts.

Preferred qualifications include:

- B.Com / B.Com (Hons.)
- B.Sc. Economics
- M.Com
- B.B.A. / B.B.A. Finance
- M.B.A. Finance
- M.Sc. Economics
- Other relevant qualifications specifically in Commerce, Economics, Finance, or Accounts

Eligibility Criteria:

- Experience: Minimum 1.52 years of relevant experience in secondary research/research QC/auditing/financial research.
- Location: Candidates must be based in Kolkata and should be comfortable working from the Salt Lake office as required.
- Work Model: Hybrid; initial training will be conducted from the office.
- Joining: Immediate joiners preferred. Candidates with a maximum notice period of 15 days may apply.
- Candidates must be willing to work 5 days a week.
- Candidates must have relevant hands-on experience in reviewing and quality-checking research outputs.

Candidates NOT Eligible:

- B.Tech / B.E. / BCA candidates are not eligible.
- Candidates with Master's degrees in unrelated/non-relevant disciplines are not eligible.
- Candidates currently pursuing CFA, CA, CMA, CS, ICWA, or similar skilled qualifications are not eligible.
- Outstation candidates who are not based in Kolkata are not eligible.
- Candidates who cannot join within 15 days are not preferred.
- Candidates without hands-on experience in research review/QC/auditing will not be considered.
