Job Summary

We are looking for a Lead AI/ML Engineer with 6 to 8 years of overall experience, including at least 3 years of experience leading/mentoring AI/ML engineering teams.
The ideal candidate will be a hands-on technical leader with strong expertise in Generative AI, Agentic AI, LLM applications and LangGraph, capable of designing, developing and deploying production-grade AI solutions while leading a team of engineers.
The candidate will be responsible for driving technical direction, mentoring engineers, reviewing architecture/code, solving complex AI engineering problems and collaborating with senior stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the design and development of production-grade Generative AI and Agentic AI solutions.
- Build and architect multi-agent systems and intelligent workflows using LangGraph.
- Develop LLM-powered applications involving RAG, tool/function calling, memory, planning, reasoning and workflow orchestration.
- Design agent workflows with state management, conditional routing, retries, human-in-the-loop and error handling.
- Work with MCP (Model Context Protocol) and A2A (Agent-to-Agent) communication for enterprise AI integrations.
- Design and implement scalable DAG/workflow-based orchestration for AI agents and business processes.
- Work with LiteLLM or similar LLM abstraction/model-routing frameworks for multi-model and multi-provider integrations.
- Develop scalable backend services and APIs using Python and FastAPI.
- Integrate AI agents with enterprise applications, databases, APIs and microservices.
- Design and implement RAG pipelines using embeddings, vector databases, semantic/hybrid search and retrieval optimization.
- Own AI/ML modules throughout the complete lifecycle from architecture and development to deployment, monitoring and production support.
- Lead technical discussions, architecture reviews and code reviews.
- Lead, mentor and manage a team of AI/ML engineers, ensuring engineering quality and timely delivery.
- Guide junior and mid-level engineers on Agentic AI,



LLM application development and best practices.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, business and senior stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable AI solutions.
- Establish best practices around AI security, guardrails, observability, evaluation and responsible AI.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues and drive solutions from PoC to production.

Mandatory Skills

AI / ML / GenAI

- 6 to 8 years of overall experience in software engineering / AI/ML.
- Strong hands-on experience in Generative AI and LLM applications.
- Strong understanding of Agentic AI and Multi-Agent Systems.
- Strong Python programming skills.
- Experience with LLMs/foundation models such as OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, Llama or equivalent.

Agentic AI & Orchestration

- Strong hands-on experience with LangGraph.
- Experience designing stateful agent workflows using nodes, edges, conditional routing and workflow orchestration.
- Experience with MCP (Model Context Protocol).
- Experience with A2A / Agent-to-Agent communication.
- Experience with DAG-based workflow orchestration.
- Hands-on experience with tool/function calling.
- Experience with agent memory, planning/reasoning and human-in-the-loop workflows.
- Experience with LiteLLM or equivalent model abstraction/routing frameworks.

RAG & LLM Applications

- Robust experience building RAG applications.
- Experience with embeddings, semantic search, hybrid search and re-ranking.
- Hands-on experience with Vector Databases such as Pinecone, FAISS, Chroma, Qdrant, Azure AI Search, pgvector or equivalent.
- Experience with prompt engineering and structured outputs.
- Understanding of RAG evaluation, LLM evaluation and observability.

Backend / Cloud

- Strong experience with Python and FastAPI.
- Experience developing REST APIs and microservices.
- Experience integrating LLM applications with enterprise APIs,



databases and business systems.
- Experience with AWS, Azure or GCP.
- Docker and Kubernetes experience is preferred.
- Understanding of CI/CD and production deployment practices.

Leadership & Team Handling Mandatory

- Minimum 3 years of experience in a Lead / Team Lead / Technical Lead / Engineering Lead capacity.
- Proven experience managing or mentoring AI/ML/GenAI engineers.
- Experience conducting code reviews and architecture/design reviews.
- Ability to define technical standards and development best practices.
- Strong problem-solving and technical decision-making capabilities.
- Ability to distribute work, track delivery and support team members technically.
- Experience working directly with senior stakeholders, architects, product teams and business teams.
- Ability to act as a bridge between engineering teams and senior stakeholders.

- AWS Bedrock / Azure AI Foundry / Vertex AI.
- RAGAS / LangSmith / MLflow or other evaluation and observability frameworks.

Education
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, AI/ML, Data Science or a related technical field.
