Job Description
Nakshatra Automation is looking for an experienced Commissioning Engineer to take ownership of commissioning and technical completion of smart home and building automation projects.

This is a field-oriented role requiring independent technical responsibility, project-site travel and multi-day stays at sites across Tamil Nadu.

The candidate should be comfortable working in office, solving technical problems independently and taking ownership of project completion.

Responsibilities

- Commission and test smart home and building automation systems.
- Configure and test automation controllers, modules, sensors and gateways.
- Perform device-level troubleshooting during commissioning.
- Verify installations against drawings, BOQ and project requirements.
- Identify and resolve wiring, communication, network and device-related issues.
- Test scenes, schedules, triggers and automation logic.
- Configure user applications and system interfaces.




- Coordinate with Project Managers and installation technicians to close technical issues.
- Conduct complete system testing before customer handover.
- Prepare commissioning reports and project documentation.
- Conduct customer demonstrations and technical handover.
- Travel extensively to project sites across Tamil Nadu and stay at sites when required.

Preferred Technical Background
Candidates with experience in:

- BMS
- Building Automation
- KNX
- PLC / SCADA
- Modbus / RS485
- BACnet
- HVAC controls
- IoT / automation systems
- Networking
- Control systems

will be preferred.
