KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
PLATFORM ADMINISTRATION OPERATIONS
Administer and maintain all webMethods 1015 components Integration Server API Gateway Universal Messaging Task Engine BPM and Process Engine
Configure runtime components clustering load balancing and high availability mechanisms
Execute and manage planned outage cycles maintenance windows and DR drill rehearsals in coordination with application and infrastructure teams
Support environment setup for DEV QA and PROD ensuring system consistency and compliance with enterprise standards
Track and report uptime metrics and perform routine operational health checks
PATCHING FIX MANAGEMENT MAINTENANCE
Plan coordinate and apply Software AG fix levels core patches and cumulative updates across environments
Test patch compatibility and perform rollback validation in lower tiers before production deployment
Work closely with vendor support to resolve patchrelated dependencies or anomalies
Maintain comprehensive patch schedules fix release logs and setting baselines
Participate in DR readiness by validating replicated patch states on DR and backup systems
INCIDENT PROBLEM OUTAGE MANAGEMENT
Provide agreed roundtheclock and oncall support for platform and interface incidents ensuring SLA and escalation compliance
Lead investigation and recovery during production outages ensuring minimal downtime
Support scheduled outage cycles system restarts version upgrades and DR site activation exercises
Conduct postoutage and RCA documentation recommending preventive measures
Coordinate DR failover and failback activities during planned continuity tests or actual events
PERFORMANCE MONITORING AND OPTIMIZATION
Configure proactive monitoring using Optimize Introscope ELK or Splunk to capture performance metrics
Tune JVM memory connection pools and thread usage for optimal throughput
Perform trend analysis for system load and recommend capacity planning improvements
DEPLOYMENT CHANGE COORDINATION
Manage migration and deployment of integration packages via webMethods Deployer
Integrate deployment workflows with version control and CICD pipelines
Participate in change advisory boards for all platform modifications ensuring readiness and rollback procedures are defined
SECURITY COMPLIANCE
Implement TLSSSL certificates authenticate APIs and manage identity providers for secure communication
Handle access provisioning license management and compliance documentation
Participate in enterprise security audits including validation of DR failover configurations
AUTOMATION DOCUMENTATION
Develop scripts Shell Python or PowerShell to support automation of maintenance backup DR verification and monitoring
Maintain detailed configuration patch and DR runbook documentation
Continuously improve DR and outage management processes for higher reliability
