- Robust fundamentals in structural dynamics and signal processing
- Knowledge of environmental standards (DO-160, MIL-STD)
- Familiarity with flight data analysis, correlation, and anomaly detection
- Exposure to UAV or aerospace platforms preferred
- Certification Awareness: Experience with aerospace qualification standards (DO-160, MIL-STD-810)
- Reliability Engineering: Knowledge of fatigue, durability, and life prediction under vibration loads
- Automation: Ability to develop automated scripts for vibration data processing and reporting
- Innovation: Exposure to advanced damping materials and smart NVH solutions

Key Responsibility Areas
- Analysis & Simulation
- Perform harmonic and random vibration analysis
- Conduct Shock Response Spectrum (SRS) and modal analysis (FEA + experimental correlation)
- Identify and mitigate resonance risks in UAV structures
- Isolation & Design
- Design vibration isolation systems (elastomer mounts, wire-rope isolators)
- Optimize damping, stiffness, and transmissibility for critical components
- Testing & Validation
- Execute shaker table tests (sine, random, shock)
- Conduct acoustic signature testing for UAV platforms
- Perform modal testing and correlate results with simulation models
- Signal Processing & Data Analysis
- Analyze vibration data using FFT (Fast Fourier Transform) and PSD (Power Spectral Density)
- Process flight log vibration data to extract frequency content, damping, and peak loads
- Identify anomalies and recommend corrective design measures
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work with structures team on stiffness tuning
- Collaborate with mechanical design team on mounting strategies
- Partner with avionics team to ensure component survivability under vibration loads
