Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Material Planner with strong expertise in Material Planning, MRP, SAP S/4HANA, Inventory Management and Supply Chain Planning. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring material availability as per production requirements while optimizing inventory and managing supply-related risks.

Key Responsibilities

- Execute and analyze MRP to identify material demand, inventory requirements and supply needs.
- Plan and monitor externally procured materials and coordinate with Procurement/Buying teams.
- Manage Material Master data in SAP S/4HANA.
- Review and manage material planning requirements, shortages, exceptions and deviations.
- Monitor and optimize inventory levels, excess inventory and strategic stock.
- Release and manage Purchase Requisitions as required.
- Coordinate with Procurement, Engineering, Production and Planning teams to ensure timely material availability.
- Manage Engineering Changes (ECN) and ensure material/BOM data is updated accurately in SAP.
- Maintain accuracy of Material Masters and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Support Consumption-Based Planning and material availability planning.
- Monitor material allocation during supply constraints and escalate critical issues.
- Prepare material status, progress and risk reports for planning and production stakeholders.
- Develop and track KPIs related to material availability,



inventory and planning performance.
- Use Advanced MS Excel for material analysis and reporting.
- Support continuous improvement, standardization and inventory optimization initiatives.

Mandatory Requirements

- 6–10 years of total relevant experience.
- Candidates with less than 6 years will NOT be considered.
- Candidates with more than 10 years will NOT be considered.
- Minimum 6 years of relevant Material Planning / Supply Planning experience is highly preferred.
- Strong hands-on experience in SAP S/4HANA.
- Strong practical experience in MRP / Material Requirements Planning.
- Experience in Material Master, BOM and procurement planning.
- Experience in Inventory Planning and Material Shortage Management.
- Experience with externally procured materials.
- Solid Advanced Excel and Data Analysis skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills are mandatory.
- Strong cross-functional coordination skills.

Preferred Experience

- Oil & Gas / Energy / Manufacturing industry experience.
- Subsea industry experience.
- Production / Manufacturing Planning experience.
- Engineering Change Management / ECN experience.
- Lean Manufacturing / Lean Six Sigma exposure.
- APICS / CPIM certification is an advantage.
- Mechanical Engineering / Supply Chain / Planning / Business Administration background preferred.

Notice Period

- Immediate Joiners preferred.
- Candidates with 15–20 days notice period are acceptable.
- Longer notice periods will generally not be considered.
