Role Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and analytically driven Functional Lead - MIS Automation Solutions to bridge the gap between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams. The ideal candidate will possess strong business understanding, financial planning and analysis (FP&A;) exposure, MIS reporting expertise, and excellent communication skills.

In this role, you will lead functional consulting engagements, gather and validate business requirements, define reporting and automation logic, and work closely with both customers and internal technical teams to ensure successful delivery of MIS automation solutions. You will play a critical role in translating business requirements into scalable analytics and reporting solutions while driving customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Engagement & Business Analysis

- Engage with customers to understand business processes, reporting requirements, KPIs, and decision-support needs.
- Conduct requirement gathering workshops and perform detailed business process mapping ("As-Is" assessment).
- Analyze existing MIS, reporting structures, and performance measurement frameworks.
- Validate solution logic and ensure alignment with business objectives.

Functional Solution Design

- Translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications and reporting frameworks.
- Define business rules, KPI calculations, reporting hierarchies, and automation workflows.
- Collaborate with customers to finalize dashboards, reports, and analytics requirements.

Project Delivery & Coordination

- Work closely with backend and frontend development teams to explain functional requirements and solution logic.
- Support technical teams in designing efficient and scalable solutions using Microsoft analytics technologies.
- Monitor project progress and proactively identify functional gaps or delivery risks.




- Facilitate solution reviews and ensure requirements are accurately implemented.

Testing & Quality Assurance

- Drive User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with customer stakeholders.
- Validate solution outputs against business requirements.
- Coordinate issue resolution between customers and development teams during implementation.
- Ensure final deliverables meet agreed business expectations and quality standards.

Post Go-Live Support

- Support customers during solution rollout and adoption phases.
- Address functional queries and enhancement requests.
- Ensure smooth transition from implementation to operational usage.

Required Skills & Competencies

Functional Skills

- Strong understanding of MIS reporting, management dashboards, and business analytics.
- Knowledge of FP&A; processes, budgeting, forecasting, and performance management metrics.
- Ability to understand and map end-to-end business processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Technical Skills

- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Familiarity with Power BI dashboards and reporting concepts.
- Basic understanding of SQL and database concepts is preferred
- Exposure to Azure Data Factory (ADF)



and data integration concepts preferred.
- Understanding of business intelligence and data warehousing concepts is an added advantage.

- Qualifications

- Chartered Accountant Inter
- Cost and Management Accountant Inter
- Equivalent qualifications with relevant FP&A;, MIS, or Business Analytics experience may also be considered.

Experience

- 2 to 5 years of experience in:
- Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A;)
- Business Analytics
- MIS Reporting
- Business Reporting & Performance Management

- Experience working with reporting, dashboarding, or analytics projects will be highly preferred.
- Candidates with permanent location of Pune will be given preference
