Job Summary

Spark Techwave InnovationZ Pvt Ltd is looking for a Cybersecurity Engineer to help protect enterprise IT infrastructure, applications, networks, endpoints, and cloud environments from security threats.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in security monitoring, SIEM, vulnerability management, incident response, network security, endpoint security, and identity/access management. The candidate will work with infrastructure, cloud, network, and application teams to identify security risks and implement appropriate security controls.

Key Responsibilities

- Monitor security events, alerts, and incidents across enterprise IT environments.
- Analyze security logs using SIEM platforms and investigate suspicious activities.
- Perform security incident investigation, response, containment, and remediation.
- Identify and assess vulnerabilities across servers, applications, endpoints, and networks.
- Conduct vulnerability scanning and coordinate remediation activities.
- Configure and maintain security controls including firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, and access controls.
- Monitor network traffic and investigate potential security threats.
- Implement and maintain IAM, authentication, authorization, and access-control policies.
- Support endpoint security, malware detection, and threat-prevention activities.
- Assist with security assessments, audits, and compliance requirements.
- Analyze security risks and recommend appropriate mitigation measures.
- Participate in security incident response and root-cause analysis.
- Maintain security documentation,



incident reports, risk registers, and operational procedures.
- Collaborate with network, cloud, infrastructure, development, and IT teams on security requirements.
- Support security hardening of servers, network devices, applications, and cloud resources.
- Stay updated on emerging cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and attack techniques.

Required Skills

- Robust understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals and information security principles.
- Experience with SIEM and security monitoring.
- Knowledge of security incident response and threat analysis.
- Experience with vulnerability assessment and vulnerability management.
- Good understanding of network security, TCP/IP, firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPN, and network protocols.
- Knowledge of endpoint security and EDR technologies.
- Understanding of IAM, authentication, authorization, and access management.
- Knowledge of common cyber threats, vulnerabilities, malware, phishing, and attack techniques.
- Experience analyzing security logs and investigating security alerts.
- Basic understanding of Linux and Windows security.
- Knowledge of security best practices, hardening, and patch management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Good to Have

- SIEM: Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk, IBM QRadar, or ELK.
- EDR/XDR: Microsoft Defender, CrowdStrike, SentinelOne, or equivalent.
- Vulnerability tools: Qualys, Nessus, Rapid7, or OpenVAS.
- Firewall technologies: Palo Alto, Fortinet, Check Point,



or Cisco.
- Cloud security: AWS / Azure / GCP security.
- Knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK; framework.
- Threat intelligence and threat hunting experience.
- Python / PowerShell / Bash scripting.
- Penetration testing and security assessment knowledge.
- Knowledge of OWASP Top 10.
- Security certifications such as Security+, CEH, CySA+, or CISSP.

Education

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or a related field.

Preferred Candidate Profile

- 2–6 years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC, security operations, or information security.
- Strong hands-on experience with security monitoring and incident investigation.
- Good understanding of enterprise network and infrastructure security.
- Ability to analyze security alerts and identify potential threats.
- Strong documentation and communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate with infrastructure, network, cloud, and application teams.
- Strong interest in continuously learning new cybersecurity technologies and threats.
