Role & responsibilities

- Manage day-to-day operations of the Emergency Department during the assigned shift.
- Coordinate with doctors, nursing, diagnostics, billing, ICU, OT, wards, security, and support departments.
- Monitor patient flow, bed availability, admissions, transfers, and discharges.
- Coordinate and escalate critical/emergency cases, trauma, MLC, and mass casualty situations.
- Address patient/attendant concerns and resolve operational issues promptly.
- Ensure compliance with hospital SOPs, NABH standards, patient safety, and infection-control protocols.
- Maintain shift reports and ensure proper handover between shifts.

Preferred candidate profile

- Ability to handle emergency situations and work under pressure.
- Positive knowledge of hospital and emergency department operations.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Experience in a multi-specialty/tertiary-care hospital preferred.
- Willingness to work in rotational shifts.
