Role Description : QA - Functional and Automation - Senior Lead Test Engineer

Location: Gurugram, HR

As a Senior Software Test Engineer candidate will be an individual contributor in Automation and Manual QA, supporting team members and do hands-on in writing the automation test cases using Python. Will contribute to feature testing, Sanity, and Regression test suite. Basic knowledge of networking products and protocols of L1/L2/L3 is mandatory.

Required Skills and Experience





- Self-starter, comfortable working independently and in team settings

- Experience testing network hardware devices and/or software.
- Knowledge of TCP/IP, ARP, DHCP, NAT, L2 switch, L3 routing
- Knowledge of Protocols Vlan, STP, RSTP, LLDP, RIP, OSPF, VRRP

- Experience API testing and Traffic Generator tools like Scapy.
- Experience with Test case management tool.

- Experience creating test cases leveraging software feature and design specification documents.
- Experience testing in an Agile software development model.
- Knowledge of system dependencies and inter-device communications
- Manual test experience:
- UI (web-based front end) and command line interface test case execution

- Automation:

- Python, CI/CD, Bitbucket
- Script creation and execution

- Debugging:

- Automation failure log analysis
- Root cause analysis, experience debugging test setup and script failures

- Defect reporting and maintenance:

- Filing bugs using the Bug Management tools
- Bug reproduction
- Collaborating with development teams and driving open issues to close

Role and Responsibilities

- Manage automation testing suites/cases.
- Identify automation areas and write the automation test cases using python.




- Design test plan and test cases for new features.
- Execute regression suites prior to Production release and other repeatable tests to maintain product Quality.
- Oversee all aspects of quality assurance including establishing metrics, applying industry best practices, and developing new tools and processes to ensure quality goals are met.
- Work in a dynamic environment and come up with solutions to meet project needs.
- Communicate with Client and end customers in written and verbal.
- Contributes on all aspects of Testing, QA Framework for existing projects and Projects from Scratch.
- Should be able to interact with client and customers for Escalated Customer Issues/Bugs.
- Peer Review of other QA member s work.
- Document Automation processes, methods and help in Demo as necessary.

Required Qualifications

- B.E./B.Tech. in computer science/electronics/or any other stream
- Around 9 to 12 years of IT Experience in QA Functional and Automation
- Demonstrated ability to work well in an agile team setting.

- A proven high-performer and dynamic team-player.
