Role & responsibilities
- Handle purchase of raw materials, consumables, spares, and general items.
- Source vendors, obtain quotations, and negotiate price, quality & delivery terms.
- Prepare and process Purchase Orders (POs).
- Coordinate with suppliers for timely material delivery.
- Maintain vendor records, purchase documents & MIS reports.
- Coordinate with Stores, Production, Accounts and other departments.
- Monitor pending orders, material shortages and delivery schedules.
- Ensure purchases are made as per company requirements and approved budget
Preferred candidate profile
Qualification: Graduate / MBA / Diploma in relevant field
Experience: 25 years in Purchase/Procurement, preferably in Manufacturing/Steel/Pipe Industry
Skills: Vendor Management, Negotiation, MS Excel, ERP/SAP, Communication Skills.
