JOB DESCRIPTION - HEAD OF MAINTENANCE

Job Title: Head - Maintenance

Years of Experience: 10 plus

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager with a strong background in electronics maintenance (such as refrigerators, mobile phones, washing machines, and similar appliances). The ideal candidate will also have proven experience in team management, manpower allocation, and inventory control.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage end-to-end maintenance operations for electronic appliances including refrigerators, washing machines, mobile devices, and related equipment

Develop and implement preventive maintenance (PM) schedules to minimize breakdowns and improve equipment reliability

Handle breakdown maintenance (BM) by ensuring quick diagnosis, root cause analysis, and effective resolution within defined timelines

Supervise and guide a team of 67 technicians, ensuring proper task allocation, performance monitoring, and skill development

Plan and execute daily manpower allocation based on job priority, technician skill level, and workload distribution

Track team productivity, turnaround time (TAT), and service quality; take corrective actions wherever required

Ensure availability of critical spare parts and consumables by maintaining optimal inventory levels

Manage inventory control systems, including stock tracking, reorder levels, consumption analysis, and wastage reduction





Coordinate with procurement/vendors for timely sourcing of spare parts, ensuring cost efficiency and quality compliance

Maintain detailed records of maintenance logs, service reports, inventory usage, and downtime analysis

Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce repeat failures and improve operational efficiency

Ensure adherence to safety standards, compliance policies, and company procedures during all maintenance activities

Train and mentor technicians on technical troubleshooting, repair techniques, and safety practices

Collaborate with internal teams (operations, logistics, and management) to ensure smooth service delivery

Handle customer/service escalations (if applicable) and ensure high levels of satisfaction through timely resolution

Monitor and optimize cost of maintenance operations, including labor and spare parts usage

Required Skills & Qualifications:

10 plus years of experience in electronics maintenance field

Hands-on experience with appliances such as refrigerators, washing machines, mobile devices, etc.

Strong team management and leadership skills

Experience in manpower planning and allocation

Knowledge of inventory management and spare parts handling

Valuable problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities

Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
