Manager School Acquisition Education Mumbai 8+ Years

We are looking for an experienced professional with 8–15 years of experience in business development, M&A;, real estate or franchise acquisitions, preferably within the education or institutional real estate sector. The role requires strong relationship-building, deal sourcing, valuation, negotiation and transaction management skills. The ideal candidate will be experienced in managing consultative, relationship-led transactions and taking opportunities through to closure.

Responsibilities

1. Identifying and mapping established K-12 schools across target markets for potential acquisition or conversion.
2. Building and maintaining relationships with school owners, trustees, promoters, consultants, brokers and local intermediaries.
3. Understanding owner motivations and presenting suitable acquisition, investment or brand-conversion propositions.
4. Evaluating school financials, enrolment trends, fee structures, infrastructure and liabilities for deal assessment.
5. Structuring and negotiating acquisition, majority-stake, brand-license or management takeover opportunities.
6. Coordinating financial, legal and academic due diligence with internal and external stakeholders.
7. Managing negotiations from term sheet through final agreement in coordination with Legal and Finance teams.
8. Coordinating post-acquisition transition and brand conversion activities with the Transformation team.
9. Maintaining a structured acquisition pipeline and reporting deal progress, economics and market coverage to senior leadership.

Requirements

1. 8+ years of experience in business development, M&A;, real estate acquisition or franchise acquisition.
2. Experience in education,



institutional real estate or franchise acquisition is preferred.
3. Strong experience in relationship-led business development and consultative deal-making.
4. Good understanding of business and real estate valuation, deal structuring and commercial negotiations.
5. Experience coordinating legal, financial and operational due diligence.
6. Strong stakeholder management, communication, negotiation and analytical skills.
7. Bachelor's degree is required; MBA or postgraduate qualification in Business Administration, Finance or a related field is preferred.
