About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Proto Engineer / Proto Manager to lead prototype development activities for 4-Wheeler (Passenger & Commercial Vehicles) and Non-Automotive Products. The role involves managing prototype builds, new product development (NPD), validation activities, cross-functional coordination, and ensuring smooth transition from concept to production.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead prototype planning and development for new products.
- Coordinate prototype part procurement and manufacturing activities.
- Manage prototype vehicle/product assembly and trial builds.
- Work closely with Design, Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supplier teams.
- Review engineering drawings, BOMs, and technical specifications.
- Identify design, fitment, manufacturability, and quality issues during prototype builds.
- Drive root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions.
- Monitor prototype timelines, budgets, and project milestones.
- Support validation testing and product performance evaluation.
- Maintain prototype build records, reports, and documentation.
- Ensure readiness for mass production through effective prototype validation.
