Role & responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Assistant Manager to drive sales and business development for Gears & Pinions across industrial and manufacturing customers.

The person will be responsible for developing new business, managing key accounts, building robust customer relationships, identifying application requirements, and achieving sales and profitability targets.

- Develop and execute sales strategies for gear motors, gearboxes, and pinions
- Identify and develop new customers across industrial and manufacturing sectors.
- Manage existing customer accounts and increase business through repeat orders and cross-selling.
- Understand customer applications and recommend suitable gearbox / gear motor solutions.
- Generate enquiries through customer visits, channel partners, references, exhibitions, and market development activities.
- Prepare commercial offers, negotiate pricing and commercial terms, and close orders.




- Build relationships with OEMs, machine builders, system integrators, distributors, and end users.
- Coordinate with engineering, production, purchase, and service teams to ensure timely execution of customer requirements.
- Track enquiries, quotations, order status, sales pipeline, and collections.
- Conduct regular market analysis to identify competitors, pricing trends, new applications, and business opportunities.
- Develop and manage customers where applicable.
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Maintain accurate CRM / sales reports and provide regular updates to management.
- Handle customer complaints and coordinate with technical/service teams for resolution.
