Job Summary

4-5 years of DBA experience with strong expertise in AWS Aurora MySQL, Aurora PostgreSQL, MySQL 5.7/8.x, and PostgreSQL 15+.

Responsibilities

- Administer Aurora clusters and Serverless v2, including endpoints, auto-scaling, parameter groups, right-sizing, upgrades, Backtrack, and Quick Cloning.
- Design and manage Aurora Global Database across regions, including replication, read scaling, failovers, switchovers, replication lag, and RPO/RTO.
- Execute Blue/Green deployments, schema changes, engine upgrades, migrations, replication validation, data consistency checks, rollback, and production switchovers.
- Manage MySQL/PostgreSQL replication and HA, including GTID, streaming/logical replication, Multi-AZ, Group Replication, Patroni, and RepMgr.
- Perform SQL and database performance tuning using EXPLAIN, slow-query analysis, Performance Insights, indexing,



partitioning, and Aurora optimization capabilities.
- Implement monitoring and automation using CloudWatch, Datadog, Grafana, PMM, Bash, Python, AWS CLI, Boto3, with Terraform, CloudFormation, and AWS DMS exposure.

Qualifications

- Strong knowledge of database security, IAM, Secrets Manager, KMS, VPC, backup/DR, incident management, and cost optimization, with excellent troubleshooting and collaboration skills.
