Job Summary

An SAP CO consultant or analyst manages the internal financial structure of a company. Unlike Financial Accounting FI which handles external reporting, the CO module tracks and optimizes internal costs and profits.

Responsibilities

- System configuration: Set up and maintain master data, cost elements, cost centers and profit centers.
- Process execution: Manage Cost Center Accounting (CCA), Internal Orders (IO), and Profitability Analysis (COPA).
- Product Costing: Calculate the cost of goods manufactured and sold using Product Cost Controlling (COPC).
- Module integration: Connect SAP CO with external modules like Sales and Distribution (SD), Materials Management (MM), and Production Planning (PP).
- Period-end closing: Run allocation cycles, calculate activity rates, and execute overhead assessments.




- User support: Troubleshoot daily errors and train business teams on productive system use.
