Skills and Competencies
- 3-6 years of experience and having strong understanding of financial assets and investment data, including fixed income, equities, funds, derivatives, private assets, infrastructure, property, cash, and structured products
- Solid knowledge of financial modelling and valuation techniques, including discounted cash flow analysis, interest rate modelling, asset valuation, and derivative pricing
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate valuation movements, reconcile data, identify exceptions, and determine root causes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with VBA, SQL, Python, R, Claude Code, or other automation and data analysis tools is highly desirable
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality, accurate, and controlled outputs in a client-focused setting
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly and work effectively across cross-functional teams.
Education
- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in Finance, Mathematics, Economics, Actuarial Science, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related quantitative discipline
- Postgraduate qualification in a relevant financial or quantitative field is advantageous but not required
- Progress toward or completion of a professional qualification such as CFA, FRM, PRM, or an actuarial credential is preferred
Responsibilities
- Deliver portfolio valuation and asset servicing activities in line with agreed client service levels, quality standards, and delivery timelines
- Prepare, load, validate, reconcile, and maintain investment data, including holdings, market values, cash flows, indices, benchmarks, classifications, and risk allocations
- Support the valuation and analysis of a broad range of asset classes, helping clients gain confidence in the accuracy and reliability of their portfolio data
- Investigate valuation movements, portfolio changes, and data exceptions, escalating material findings and contributing to timely issue resolution
- Perform quality assurance checks to ensure outputs are accurate, complete, consistent, and ready for client use. Partner with clients and internal stakeholders to respond to queries, provide insights, and deliver a high standard of service
- Contribute to onboarding, implementation, testing, and continuous improvement initiatives across PFaroe and broader analytics solutions. Maintain process documentation, controls, training materials, and knowledge-sharing resources that support operational excellence and team effectiveness
- Collaborate with colleagues across analytics, risk, technology, product, and structured finance teams to support business objectives and enhance client outcomes
