1. Job Purpose

To lead and manage the complete warehouse operations, including inward, GRN, inventory, scanning, picking, packing, dispatch, returns, stock accuracy, manpower management and system operations. The role will be responsible for improving warehouse productivity, reducing operational errors and ensuring timely movement of stock.

2. Key Responsibilities

A. Warehouse Operations

1. Manage end-to-end warehouse operations from Inward to Dispatch.

2. Ensure smooth receiving, unloading, checking, sorting, put-away, picking, packing and dispatch.

3. Ensure daily operations are completed as per planned targets.

4. Monitor warehouse productivity and operational efficiency.

5. Establish SOPs and ensure strict compliance by all warehouse employees.

B. Inventory Management

1) Maintain high inventory accuracy between physical stock and system stock.

2) Conduct cycle counts, periodic stock verification and physical inventory audits.

3) Identify stock shortages, excess stock, damages, discrepancies and system mismatches.

4) Coordinate with Finance, Stores, Sales and Management for stock reconciliation.

5) Control inventory ageing, dead stock and slow-moving stock.

C. Genisys / WMS Knowledge

1. Strong working knowledge of Genisys / WMS / ERP warehouse modules.

2. Manage and monitor system transactions for:

9. Dispatch

10. Returns

11. Stock adjustments

12. Inventory reconciliation

13. Ensure all physical warehouse transactions are updated accurately in the system.

14. Identify system-related operational issues and coordinate with IT/System teams for resolution.

15. Generate and analyze Genisys/WMS reports for inventory, inward, outward, pending orders, stock movement and productivity.

16. Ensure users follow correct system processes and avoid unauthorized manual adjustments.

17. Support system implementation, process improvements, testing and user training.

Manpower Management

a) Plan manpower requirements based on daily and monthly workload.

b) Manage Warehouse Incharge, Supervisors, TLs, Scanners, Pickers, Packers and Helpers.

c) Allocate manpower according to workload and productivity requirements.

d) Monitor attendance, punctuality, discipline and productivity.

e) Conduct daily team briefings and performance reviews.

f) Identify skill gaps and arrange appropriate training.

g) Develop backup manpower for critical warehouse activities.

Set and monitor KPIs for each warehouse function, including:

6. Process Improvement

o. Identify bottlenecks in warehouse operations.

p. Reduce manual processes and improve system-based transactions.

q. Improve warehouse layout and storage utilization.

r. Reduce picking, packing and dispatch errors.

Improve manpower productivity and reduce overtime.

t. Implement 5S, FIFO/FEFO where applicable, cycle counting and standard work practices.

u. Continuously improve warehouse turnaround time and operating cost.

7. Coordination

Coordinate closely with:

Purchase / Merchandising, Stores / Retail Operations

E-Commerce, Finance & Accounts, HR

IT / ERP / Genisys Support Team

Transport / Logistics

Management

Ensure timely communication regarding stock availability, shortages, pending dispatches, system issues and operational concerns.

8. Compliance & Control

i. Ensure warehouse safety and security procedures are followed.

ii. Control unauthorized stock movement.

iii. Ensure proper documentation for all stock movements.

iv. Monitor CCTV and security processes where applicable.

v. Ensure proper handling of damaged, rejected and returned stock.

vi. Support internal and external audits.

vii. Investigate inventory discrepancies and report findings to management.

9. Required Skills

a. Strong warehouse operations knowledge.

b. Excellent Genisys/WMS/ERP knowledge.

c. Good knowledge of Excel and MIS reporting.

d. Strong inventory management skills.

e. Manpower planning and team leadership.

f. Data analysis and problem-solving.

g. Solid communication and coordination skills.

h. Ability to work under pressure and meet operational deadlines.

i. Knowledge of warehouse SOPs, 5S and inventory control.

j. Strong leadership and decision-making capability.

10. Educational Qualification

Minimum: Graduate in any discipline.

Preferred: MBA/PGDM in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations or related field.

11. Experience

8–12+ years of warehouse/supply chain experience, preferably with experience managing a large warehouse and multiple operational teams.

Preferred experience: Apparel/Retail/E-Commerce warehouse operations with hands-on Genisys/WMS/ERP experience.

12. Key Competency

The ideal candidate should be capable of independently managing the warehouse from Inward GRN Put-away Inventory Picking Scanning Packing Dispatch Returns Reconciliation, while maintaining system accuracy, stock accuracy, manpower productivity and operational disci
