Job Summary

ISPP is seeking a Manager, to build Business Development and Career Services as a unified growth function .

This role recognises that employer partnerships drive both revenue opportunities and placement outcomes . The Manager will be responsible for building institutional relationships that translate into:

- Strategic collaborations with organisations across sectors
- Recruitment pipelines for ISPP scholars
- Executive education and training partnerships

The role reports to the Director Executive Education Career Services and works closely with leadership, faculty, and external partners.

Responsibilities

- Business Development Partnerships (Primary KRA)
- Build and manage a strong pipeline of institutional and business development opportunities across corporates, consulting firms, government bodies, multilateral organisations, foundations, development organisations, and other relevant institutions.
- Identify and pursue opportunities for executive education, customised programmes, sponsored cohorts, institutional partnerships, research collaborations, and other strategic engagements.
- Develop and maintain relationships with senior decision-makers, including CXOs, HR/LD leaders, CSR heads, business leaders, and institutional stakeholders. Lead the complete business development cycle from prospect identification and outreach to proposal development, negotiation, closure, and relationship management.
- Leverage the ISPP leadership, faculty, alumni, and wider network to generate warm introductions and expand the partnership pipeline.
- Revenue Generation Business Growth
- Take ownership of agreed revenue and business development targets across Executive Education, customised programmes, sponsored cohorts, and other identified revenue streams.
- Identify new revenue opportunities and convert prospective organisations into paying institutional partners.
- Develop strategies to deepen, renew, upsell,



and cross-sell existing partnerships and convert one-time engagements into recurring business.
- Develop commercial proposals, budgets, partnership models, and pricing structures in consultation with relevant internal teams.
- Lead commercial discussions and negotiations and drive opportunities through to closure.
- Maintain a healthy revenue pipeline with clear visibility on pipeline value, expected closures, conversion rates, deal value, and timelines.
- Employer Engagement Career Services
- Build and expand ISPPs network of employers across consulting, advisory, development, CSR, public sector, policy, education, and other relevant sectors.
- Convert institutional and business development relationships into concrete career opportunities for ISPP scholars, including internships, full-time roles, sponsored fellowships, and capstone-to-hire pathways.
- Build and maintain a structured recruiter pipeline aligned with ISPPs programme portfolios and scholars career interests.
- Strengthen relationships with existing recruiters to encourage repeat hiring and deeper engagement with ISPP. Track key employer and placement metrics, including active recruiters, new hiring partners, hiring mandates, offers, offer-to-acceptance ratios, and recruiter satisfaction.

Qualifications

- Bachelors or masters degree in Business, Public Policy, Management, or related field
- 6 to 8 years of experience in business development, partnerships, placements, or institutional engagement
- Proven track record of building relationships that convert into measurable outcomes (revenue, hiring, partnerships)
- Robust network across corporate, consulting, government, development, and education ecosystems
- Ability to engage senior stakeholders and close institutional collaborations
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and execution skills
- Interest in education, public policy, or institution building
