Job Summary:

In this role, you will support product and project costing activities, helping ensure accurate cost estimates, sustainable margins, and informed business decisions. You will collaborate closely with commercial, operations, finance, and project teams to develop cost models, maintain standard costing data, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational excellence and customer value.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Review inquiries received from project and sales teams and prepare detailed cost analysis reports.
- Develop and provide accurate costing information for project-based requirements.
- Maintain and update standard costs for products and components.
- Monitor and update costing data in business systems based on raw material price changes and market trends.
- Estimate costs for new products and support the creation of standard costing structures.
- Compare booked order costs against approved costing and standard cost benchmarks to help ensure profitable business outcomes.
- Partner with finance and operations teams to complete annual standard costing exercises.
- Analyze cost drivers and identify opportunities for process and cost optimization.
- Support cross-functional teams with cost-related insights for business planning and decision-making.
- Maintain accurate costing records and ensure compliance with established processes and guidelines.

For This Role, You Will Need:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Experience in product costing, estimation, manufacturing, engineering, or a related function within an industrial environment.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, and cost structures.
- Understanding of raw materials commonly used in the valve industry, including castings, forgings, carbon steel, stainless steel, and high-alloy materials.
- Familiarity with product and project cost estimation methodologies.
- Knowledge of quality requirements, inspection processes, material testing, and product validation practices.
- Understanding of import procedures, logistics, and duty calculations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other business productivity tools.
- Experience working with ERP systems and maintaining costing data.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across functions and build positive working relationships.
Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
- Experience within the valve, flow control, process automation, or industrial manufacturing industry.
- Knowledge of machining cost estimation and manufacturing cost analysis.
- Exposure to standard costing, cost accounting, or financial analysis processes.
- Experience supporting new product introduction and product lifecycle costing activities.
- Ability to identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality and customer requirements.
- Demonstrated leadership or project coordination experience in cross-functional environments.
