Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and execute API test cases for REST and SOAP web services.
- Perform functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end API testing.
- Develop and maintain API automation frameworks using Rest Assured.
- Create, manage, and execute API collections using Postman.
- Validate request/response payloads, headers, authentication, and status codes.
- Perform JSON and XML schema validation.
- Analyze API logs and troubleshoot issues with developers.
- Automate API testing and integrate with CI/CD pipelines.
- Execute database validations using SQL queries.
- Track defects and collaborate with development teams for resolution.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and quality assurance activities.

Required Skills

- 3 to 8 years of experience in Software Testing with a strong focus on API Testing.
- Hands-on experience with Postman for API validation and automation.




- Strong experience in Rest Assured Framework.
- Good programming knowledge in Java.
- Experience with Maven and TestNG/JUnit.
- Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, HTTP methods, and status codes.
- Experience in JSON and XML validation.
- Knowledge of OAuth, JWT, Basic Authentication, and API Security Testing.
- Experience with SQL and database validation.
- Hands-on experience with defect management tools such as Jira.
- Familiarity with Git, GitHub, Bitbucket, or Azure DevOps.

Preferred Skills

- Experience with Swagger/OpenAPI documentation.
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
- Exposure to performance testing tools like JMeter.
- Experience in microservices architecture testing.
- Basic understanding of cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
