Role: Virtual Prototype Engineer

Areas of Responsibility:

- CreateVirtual Development Kits (VDKs) using Synopsys Virtualizer and Synopsys IPmodels.
- IntegrateCPU, GPU, PCIe, UCIe, DDR, and peripheral IP models into a cohesive virtualplatform.
- DevelopSystemC/TLM 2.0 models for custom IP blocks,peripherals, and SoC components.
- Build andmaintain virtual prototypes for pre silicon software development and SoC bring up.
- Developscripts and automation for VDK assembly, configuration, and validation.
- Workclosely with hardware design teams to interpret RTL specifications and convertthem into SystemC/TLM models.
- Validatefunctional correctness of models through directed tests, regressions, and co simulation with RTL. Support firmware, driver, andOS teams using the VDK for early bring up and debugging.
- Optimizemodel performance, timing accuracy, and simulation speed.
- Documentmodel behavior, APIs, and integration guidelines for internal and externalteams.

Experience:

- 5+ years ofexperience in virtual prototyping, SystemC/TLM 2.0 modeling, or pre siliconsoftware enablement.




- Hands on experience with Synopsys Virtualizer, PlatformArchitect, or similar virtual prototyping tools.
- Strongproficiency in SystemC, C++, and TLM 2.0 transaction level modeling. Experienceintegrating Synopsys IP models (ARC, PCIe, USB, DDR, GPU, etc.) into VDKs.
- Understandingof SoC architecture: buses, interconnects, interrupts, memory maps, andclock/reset domains.
- Familiaritywith embedded software bring up(bootloaders, drivers, OS kernels).
- Experiencedebugging complex interactions between models, firmware, and drivers. Nice tohave:
- Experiencewith Synopsys VDK, QEMU, Simics, or other virtual platforms Exposure to RTL(Verilog/VHDL) and co simulation flows Knowledge ofPCIe, UCIe, CXL, or other high speedinterconnects Python/Perl scripting for automation
