Role & responsibilities

We are looking for a skilled Linux Administrator with hands-on experience in RHEL, CentOS, and Ubuntu environments. The candidate will be responsible for managing, monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintaining Linux infrastructure to ensure high availability, performance, and security.

Key Responsibilities

- Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Linux servers (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu).
- Perform server provisioning, patching, upgrades, and system hardening.
- Monitor system performance, availability, and capacity planning.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, file systems, and access controls.
- Configure and maintain services such as DNS, NFS, FTP, SSH, Apache, Nginx, and Samba.
- Troubleshoot OS, network, storage, and application-related issues.
- Manage LVM, RAID, disk partitioning, and filesystem administration.
- Perform backup, recovery, and disaster recovery activities.
- Automate routine administration tasks using Shell/Python scripting.
- Implement and maintain security policies, vulnerability remediation, and compliance standards.
- Work with virtualization technologies such as VMware/KVM.
- Support cloud-based Linux environments (AWS/Azure/GCP)

- Prepare and maintain technical documentation and SOPs.

Required Skills

- Strong administration experience in RHEL, CentOS, and Ubuntu.
- Positive understanding of Linux kernel, processes, services, and system boot procedures.
- Hands-on experience with Shell scripting.
- Knowledge of networking concepts: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Load Balancers, Firewalls.
- Experience with monitoring tools such as Nagios, Zabbix, Grafana, or Prometheus.
- Hands-on experience in troubleshooting production incidents.
- Knowledge of configuration management tools such as Ansible.
- Experience with VMware or KVM virtualization.

Preferred Skills

- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Exposure to AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud platforms.
- Knowledge of DevOps tools like Jenkins, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Linux certifications such as RHCSA/RHCE are preferred.

Educational Qualification

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

Experience Range

- L3: 3 to 5 Years
- L4: 6 to 10 Years
