Required Technical Skills & Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience as a Database Architect, Data Modeler, or Principal Engineer focused on relational database design.

• Expert-Level Data Modeling: Deep expertise in conceptual, logical, and physical data modeling. Advanced mastery of time-interval logic and state-machine modeling is mandatory.

• Proven Bi-Temporal Modeling Experience: Practical experience implementing bitemporal architectures (tracking both valid/effective time and transaction/assertion time).

• Complex Graph & Hierarchy Modeling: Proven ability to model shifting, real-world relationships, recursive hierarchies (conglomerates), and many-to-many associations that change over time.

• API Architecture Fluency: Strong background advising backend teams on data access layers. You must understand how to abstract database complexity into clean application APIs.

• RDBMS Proficiency: Deep familiarity with contemporary relational databases (PostgreSQL or similar) and how they implement range types, advanced indexing, and integrity constraints.
