We're looking for an experienced Senior Automation Developer to lead automation projects from business requirements gathering through to deployment and production support.

This role requires strong hands-on expertise in Microsoft Power Platform, AI agent development using low-code/no-code technologies, and UiPath, alongside the ability to work directly with business users and manage stakeholders independently.

Role focus

- Microsoft Power Platform development: 60%
- AI agent development: 25%
- UiPath RPA development: 15%

Key responsibilities

End-to-end delivery and business analysis

- Independently manage the complete automation lifecycle, including requirements gathering, planning, solution design, development, testing, deployment and post-implementation support.
- Conduct workshops and interviews with business users to identify process gaps and automation opportunities.
- Document business requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, functional specifications and solution designs.
- Translate business needs into practical solutions using Power Platform, Copilot Studio and UiPath.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and communicate progress to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT) and validate solutions against agreed business requirements.

Microsoft Power Platform development

- Design, develop and test Power Automate cloud and desktop flows, including attended and unattended automation.
- Build Canvas and Model-driven applications using Power Apps.
- Develop custom connectors and integrate applications with business systems and data sources.
- Implement Power Platform governance,



Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies and Application Lifecycle Management (ALM).
- Manage environments, security roles and permissions, and work with Dataverse and data models.

AI agent development

- Build, deploy and manage AI agents using Microsoft Copilot Studio.
- Design conversational AI solutions and integrate AI capabilities into business workflows.
- Evaluate and implement Azure AI Services, OpenAI or similar platforms where appropriate.
- Conduct proofs of concept and take validated solutions through to production.

UiPath development and support

- Develop UiPath workflows for complex automation scenarios.
- Build and maintain reusable components using REFramework.
- Provide L2/L3 support for existing bots, troubleshoot issues and improve performance.
- Support production stability during deployment and hypercare.

Support and continuous improvement

- Provide production support in line with agreed SLAs and resolve issues through root cause analysis.
- Maintain solution documentation and knowledge bases.
- Establish automation standards and development best practices.
- Support citizen developers through training and guidance.

Required experience and skills

- 7+ years of automation development experience,



with a primary focus on low-code/no-code platforms.
- Proven experience independently delivering automation projects from requirements gathering to deployment.
- Strong business analysis, stakeholder management and workshop facilitation skills.
- Expert-level proficiency in Power Automate and Power Apps.
- Strong hands-on experience building and managing AI agents using Microsoft Copilot Studio.
- Experience with Power Platform governance, DLP, ALM, connectors, security and Dataverse.
- Understanding of conversational AI design and integrating AI capabilities into business processes.
- Expert-level UiPath development skills across Studio, Orchestrator and Robots, including REFramework, debugging and bot optimisation.
- Experience with API integrations using REST, SOAP, JSON and XML.
- Transparent communication skills, sound business judgement and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Highly preferred certifications

- Microsoft Power Platform Developer Associate (PL-400).
- Microsoft Power Automate RPA Developer Associate (PL-500).
- Relevant Microsoft Copilot Studio certification.
- UiPath Developer certification.

Additional skills that would be an advantage

- Azure or AWS cloud experience.
- Git, Azure DevOps and Agile/DevOps practices.
- SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Power BI reporting and dashboards.
- Process mining and task mining tools.
- Experience with Power Virtual Agents.
