We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Actuarial Analyst with a strong interest in health insurance, statistical modelling, and risk assessment. The ideal candidate will support actuarial analysis, pricing, reserving, product development, and portfolio performance evaluation to help drive informed business decisions.

This role is suited for a qualified with a strong quantitative foundation and an understanding of insurance principles who can translate complex data into meaningful insights. You will work with actuarial, underwriting, claims, finance, and product teams to evaluate risk, improve pricing accuracy, monitor profitability, and support the development of sustainable health insurance products.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities
- Analyse health insurance policy, premium, claims, and customer data to identify trends, patterns, and emerging risks.




- Support the development and review of actuarial pricing models for health insurance products.
- Assist in estimating claims frequency, severity, expected claims costs, and loss ratios.
- Conduct experience studies to evaluate actual performance against actuarial assumptions.
- Support reserving activities, including the analysis of incurred claims, outstanding claims, and claims development patterns.
- Evaluate portfolio profitability and identify factors affecting underwriting performance and claims costs.
- Develop statistical models and analytical tools to support pricing, forecasting, risk assessment, and business planning.
- Assist in monitoring key actuarial metrics, including claim ratios, premium adequacy, and portfolio performance.
- Prepare actuarial reports, dashboards, presentations, and analytical summaries for internal stakeholders.
