MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS
• Strong technical expertise in Facultative Reinsurance Claims & Recovery mechanics.
• Proven experience in complex claims handling, reinsurer negotiations and recovery follow-ups.
• Solid knowledge of claims documentation, calculations, ageing management and regulatory reporting.
• Hands-on experience in managing/supervising a Claims team and driving process improvements.

JOB ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Own end-to-end claims recovery for the Facultative Reinsurance portfolio.
• Handle complex/major claims with cedants, reinsurers, brokers and surveyors.
• Review and approve recovery advices, calculations and supporting documents.
• Manage reinsurer queries, negotiations and recovery follow-ups.
• Drive closure of long-outstanding claims and reduce ageing.




• Monitor claims cedant-wise and reinsurer-wise, including collateral claims.
• Supervise and provide technical guidance to the Chennai Claims Team.
• Improve and standardize claims & recovery processes.
• Review and approve IRDAI claims reporting/statistics.
• Conduct technical training and knowledge-sharing for the Claims team.

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE
• Graduate/Postgraduate in Insurance, Finance, Commerce or related discipline; insurance/reinsurance certification preferred.
• 10–15+ years of relevant experience in Reinsurance Claims, with strong exposure to Facultative Claims & Recovery.
• Prior experience in team supervision/technical mentoring within Reinsurance Claims.
