Role Summary:

The L1 Hardware Asset Management (HAM) resource is responsible for day-to-day tracking, monitoring, and maintaining IT hardware assets across their lifecycle, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and accurate updates in asset management tools (e.g., ServiceNow/CMDB).

Key Responsibilities:

- Maintain and update asset records in the asset management tool (ServiceNow/CMDB) with accurate details (Serial No., Asset Tag, User, Location, Status).
- Handle asset allocation, return, and transfer requests as per standard process.
- Ensure physical verification and tagging of IT assets at assigned locations.
- Support onboarding and offboarding activities (asset issuance and recovery).
- Track asset movements and update custody/location details.
- Monitor and follow up on pending asset-related tickets (Incidents/Requests).
- Assist in periodic asset audits,



stock verification, and reconciliation activities.
- Coordinate with location IT teams and vendors for asset delivery, pickup, and repairs.
- Maintain proper documentation for asset acknowledgements and handover records.
- Identify discrepancies in asset data and escalate to L2/L3 teams.

Required Skills:

- Basic understanding of IT hardware (Laptops, Desktops, Printers, Network Devices / Server devices & Accessories).
- Familiarity with IT asset lifecycle management.
- Experience with tools like ServiceNow / Asset Register / CMDB (preferred).
- Basic Excel knowledge (data tracking, reports).
- Valuable communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to follow processes and maintain audit compliance.

Qualifications:

- Graduate / Diploma in IT, Electronics, or related field.

2–3 years of experience in IT Asset M
